The first year of a language education costs between 650,000 and 850,00 yen, or roughly 5,000 and 6,000 US dollars. In the second year, overall fees will be lowered by 10% to 15%. This will cover a variety of fees, including application screening, events, school facilities, study materials, and so on. Details vary depending on each school's policy.

A variety of things influence the cost of living. For example, in a large city like Tokyo, accommodations may be 20-30% more expensive than in other places. Nonetheless, the typical monthly cost will range between 55,000 and 90,000 yen. The estimated numbers of costs are:

Part-Time Jobs

International students can work part-time up to 28 hours a week, 4 to 5 hours a day. The average salary is around 1,000 yen per hour, which is depends on working time, location and type of work. The salary from this part-time employment may be sufficient to meet everyday living expenses as well as tuition. If one's language skills improve, they will be able to apply for and earn more money in other employment. In the event of long-term work in Japan, the recruiting employer will directly modify the kind of visa.

Additionally, Japan boasts the world's fourth largest economy. It is also well-known for its distinct culture, welcoming people, robust security, and good education. At the same time, Japan has the difficulty of a low birth rate and a shortage of young workers. As a result, studying Japanese language not only allows you to learn about Japanese culture and way of thinking, but it also offers up options to extend your education at a range of premier colleges, as well as obtain a long-term work or invest in your own business in the near future.

The majority of the school's semesters begin in April and October each year, with the exception of several that begin in January or July. Each semester at each institution has a different number of student acceptances, so students should investigate and register at least 7-9 months in advance. Those who have never learned Japanese before should spend at least 6 months studying the language before applying.
